Form – Early Childhood Education Program

HOW TO APPLY

Applications to the Early Childhood Course of Study may be submitted at any time. Applications are requested to be on-file by June 1st but will be considered beyond this time, should space allow. Those applications received after the start of the summer academic phase will be considered on an individual basis following consultation with the applicant by the course director..

Applications should be submitted with a non-refundable application fee of $50.00. All applications will be promptly processed.

Post Application Materials

In addition to the Application form and fee, the applicant is asked to submit the Adult Learner Information form, three Letters of Reference and the Internship form. These forms are available in this section (APPLYING) of the website and can be submitted digitally.

Transcripts

Official transcripts of all higher education (and not copies) will need to be submitted to the Institute (Northeast Montessori Institute, PO Box 68, Rockport, ME 04856, electronic copies may be sent to nmiexec@gmail.com).

Applicants holding international educational credentials and/or credentials printed in a language other than English will need to have the credential(s) officially evaluated and/or translated. This may be done through World Education Services (WES) or another comparable organization. Information and an application can be found on the web at: www.wes.org.

Adult learners may be admitted into the Early Childhood course of study who do not hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher. Upon the successful completion of the program, the adult learner will be awarded the AMS Associate certificate. This credential may be up-dated through AMS to the full certificate upon the successful completion of a Baccalaureate degree.
