The prepared environment is a cornerstone of Montessori pedagogy. This workshop will explore the critical elements of a well designed classroom including basic Feng Shui and design for classroom management. Learn how you can design your space to facilitate creativity, concentration and work flow. Elicit your student’s natural appreciation for beauty and aesthetics. Participants will examine photographs and materials for inspiration. Come prepared to think out of the box!
Topics of discussion will include:
- Area of Positive Disciple Techniques Techniques with children
- Feng Shui for the Montessori Classroom
- How to include nature in a meaningful way into the environment
- Creating a studio with the Montessori classroom
- Designing outdoor space that invites children to play-learn and discover
- Practical applications for designing Montessori work for all areas
- Pictures of real Montessori environments - including Montessori in Italy and Reggio Schools
